Wyoming Retirement System discusses 'Rule of 85'

All staff and spouse are invited – here’s your chance to ask the question:
“What’s the difference between retiring at age 60 (age 65 if hired after Sept 2012) or the Rule of 85?”

On the 18th of September George Eason from the Wyoming Retirement System will be at:

Jackson Elementary at 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the teachers lounge to answer questions.

Kelly Elementary from 2:30 – 3:30 pm (change) in the teachers lounge to answer questions

Retirement Strategies: Reaching Your Destination with Pre-Retirement Planning
This seminar is for employees within 10 years of retirement. It discusses when you might be eligible for retirement versus when you can afford to retire. We review benefit options for your pension and distribution planning for your deferred compensation account. Deferred compensation information will also be provided regarding increased contribution limits after age 50 or within four years of qualifying for retirement. Allow extra time if you want to speak with the retirement educator afterward.
