Moran School Vision: Moran Elementary School is a small community of learners who work hard to Accept differences, Be responsible, and Challenge ourselves.
April 27, 2014

Dear Moran School families,
Last week, I accepted the Director of Teaching and Learning position for Teton County School District. I will continue as the Moran School principal for the remainder of this school year, and transition into my new position over the summer. I am excited for the opportunity to support teacher practice and student learning in our district in this new role, although it was a very hard decision to make! Leading the Moran School community over the past five years has been the most exciting and rewarding work I’ve done as an educator.

Throughout the spring, I will work with Superintendent Shea to ensure a thorough and thoughtful process as new leadership is selected for Moran School. This will obviously be in conjunction with hiring a quality replacement for Niki Walters, who is transferring to Colter School next year. Her position has recently been advertised and we already have numerous applicants. I will keep you all up to date with the selection process and subsequent transition plans for both the teacher and principal positions. A smooth transition for staff, students, and families is of utmost importance to me.

Serving as your principal is an honor. I feel fortunate to work in a school where the parents and community value education, involvement, and a home-school partnership in order to help students succeed. That was so evident during our focus group meeting last meet. Thank you!

If you have any questions regarding the transition, please be in touch.
