About Mrs. Fouts

This is my eighth year of teaching elementary and my fourth year teaching kindergarten at JES. I taught second grade for four years and now after teaching kindergarten, I know this is where I want to be for years to come. Kindergarten is such a special, magical age. I am amazed by these five and six year-olds! It's the most incredible experience to teach kids to read and write and watch them learn new skills.

I grew up just outside Seattle, Washington where my family and I had horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and a huge garden. I love animals and I love the outdoors. I learned to ski at age three, thanks to my dad, and have loved the mountains ever since. I attended Western Washington University and skied on the weekends at Mt. Baker and Whistler. After graduating I traveled with some friends to different ski towns throughout Colorado. While working at Copper Mountain Ski Resort I met my husband and we eventually made our way to Jackson Hole. All it took was one summer visit to Grand Teton National Park and we knew this was the place we wanted to be!

My husband and I love to ski, bike, and explore the Tetons. We have two dogs and we enjoy taking them for camping trips in the summer.
