I was born and raised in the Phoenix area and met my husband in 1996 while attending college in Tempe, AZ.  After graduating, we married and moved to Colorado where our daughter and two sons were born in 2001, 2003, and 2005.  I was fortunate to come across parenting classes from the Love & Logic Institute while my kids were very young and found the strategies tied in closely to my college courses about the psychology of learning and motivation.  I have been a firm believer in teaching kids through positive behavior techniques and natural consequences ever since.

Our search for a colder climate led our family to relocate to Jackson in 2011, and we immediately felt like we found home.  I feel grateful every day for living in this beautiful community!  I am especially grateful for the many hiking trails close by and for discovering the stability of Yaktrax on my boots, which have helped to keep me out in nature and safely on my feet all year round!  I have been working at Jackson Elementary School since fall 2011 and am excited to continue building relationships with the students at JES and their families.  Thank you for taking the time to read about me...  now I’d love to get to know you too - please stop by the JES office and say hello at any time!
